Jakarta (BPJPH) --- The Indonesia government encourages business actors who have products categorized as required to be halal certified to immediately apply for halal certificates. Halal certification starts with registering or submitting an application for a halal certificate through the PUSAKA Superapps application of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) of the Republic of Indonesia, or you can also access the ptsp.halal.go.id page.
"Businesses only need to download the PUSAKA application of the Ministry of Religious Affairs from Playstore or Appstore to register for halal certification. You can also go through the ptsp.halal.go.id page," said Special Staff of the Minister of Religious Affairs Wibowo Prasetyo in a Media Gathering held by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) in Jakarta, Friday (28/7/2023).
"Those are two channels for registration of halal certification. If there are any others, they must be fake. The public must be watchful," said Wibowo.
Furthermore, Wibowo explained that PUSAKA Superapps is part of the digital transformation program of Ministry of Religious Affairs.
"This digital transformation is a priority program that aims to make it easier for people to get the services of the Ministry of Religious Affairs," he continued.
"So now, registering for halal certification is easier. People only need to download the PUSAKA application. The guide is also available there," he continued.
Besides being easy to conduct, Wibowo also explained the importance of obtaining a halal certificate for a product. Aside from being a form of guaranteeing quality and halal for consumers, halal certification is also an added value for products economically.
In line, the Head of BPJPH Muhammad Aqil Irham said that the government is committed to continuing to provide convenience in applying for halal certification for business actors. For this reason, BPJPH continues to carry out digital transformation to support and improve the services. Including, the use of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain technology.
"Therefore, now everything is implemented digitally. Registration (halal certification) can be done online," said Aqil.
"Now businesses don't have to bother carrying piles of files anymore to register for halal certification. It's just a matter of clicking and uploading them in the application," he explained. []
