Jakarta (BPJPH) --- The advisor of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA), Eny Retno Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, reminded all DWP members of the MORA the importance of consuming halal and thayyib food. This is because halal and thayyib food has good quality and when consumed it will have a good effect on someone.
This appeal was conveyed by Eny Yaqut in the MORA DWP Routine Recitation which was held by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) of the MORA, with the topic "The Role of Mothers in Preparing Halal and Good Food in Preparing the Golden Generation."
"Quoting the opinion of Sheikh Salih al Fawzan, consuming halal food is a cause of goodness for a light heart. And consuming haram food will cause damage and darkness in our hearts." said Eny Yaqut in the MORA DWP Routine Recitation which was held in a hybrid in Jakarta and was attended by DWP leaders of all Regional Offices of the MORA along with thousands of DWP members of the MORA throughout Indonesia, Wednesday (23/8/2023).
Appearing to be present at the occassion the Advisor of the MORA DWP Tanti Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, the Head of MORA DWP Farikhah Nizar Ali, the Chairperson of the BPJPH DWP Yuliati Aqil Irham, the Chairperson of the DWP of the Units of Echelon I of the MORA, the Chairperson of the DWP of the Regional Office of MORA in DKI Jakarta, the Chairperson of the DWP of the Regional Office of MORA in Banten, the Chairperson of the DWP of the Regional Office of MORA in West Java, the DWP Chairperson of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and DWP Chairperson of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The recitation also presented Habib Ali Hasan Al-Bahar as the guest speaker.
Furthermore, Eny Yaqut explained that the halal and thayyib quality standards for food are standards taught by the Qur'an.
"Quoting Professor Quraish Shihab, that the quality of food and drink determined according to the Qur'an is halal and thayyib." continued the wife of the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
"Good on condition that the quantity is proportional, not excessive and not lacking. And quality that has a good effect and is safe, namely nutritious, and definitely halal." she continued.
On this occasion, Eny Yaqut also expressed her hope that the themes discussed in the forum would equip all DWP members to prepare halal and thayyib food for their families.
Eny also said that consumption of halal and thayyib food could be an effort to combat malnutrition or stunting which had become a national program.
"Stunting prevention has become a national program. This must also be our shared responsibility." Eny emphasized. []
