Jakarta (BPJPH) --- The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs has enacted guidelines of payment of halal certification services. These guidelines were issued in the form of Decree of the Head of BPJPH Number 81 of 2023 concerning Procedures for Payment of Halal Certification Services.

"BPJPH has just issued guidelines for payment for halal certification services with the stipulation of the Decree of the Head of BPJPH Number 81 of 2023 concerning Procedures for Payment of Halal Certification Services." said BPJPH Secretary, E.A Chuzaemi Abidin, at the BPJPH office, Tuesday (26/9/2023).

"This decision was signed and stipulated by the Head of BPJPH on September 25 2023, and came into effect from the date it was stipulated." Chuzaemi continued.

The stipulation of these guidelines, he continued, is intended to be a guideline in implementing payments for halal certification application services by business actors to BPJPH. These guidelines include payment procedures for halal certification application services with a business statement or self-declaration, and payment procedures for regular halal certification application services.

This decision, continued Chuzaemi, must become a guideline or reference for all payment activities for halal certification application services involving service officers at BPJPH or related stakeholders, and for business actors as service recipients.

"By implementing clear and detailed guidelines, a sense of certainty, comfort and security will be created for all service operators and recipients in all service payment activities." continued Chuzaemi.

The decision also contains norms governing incentive payments for Halal Product Process Assistants (P3H) which are paid directly from BPJPH to each P3H's bank account. Previously, P3H incentive payments are still paid through the Halal Product Process Assistance Agency (LP3H). By paying incentives directly to the P3H account, the payments are guaranteed to be carried out on time, on target and transparently.

"This is important in order to increase professionalism and accountability in the financial management of the BPJPH as a Public Service Agency." added Chuzaemi.
