Jakarta (BPJPH) --- The Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs continues to strengthen its synergy with various stakeholders. In order to strengthen this, today BPJPH signed Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with 13 strategic partners.
The Head of BPJPH Muhammad Aqil Irham said that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with 13 strategic partners was an effort to strengthen the ecosystem for implementing Halal Product Assurance (JPH) in Indonesia.
"I really appreciate the initiative as well as the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between BPJPH and 13 strategic partner institutions. This is a step in strengthening the ecosystem for implementing the Halal Product Assurance in Indonesia." said Aqil in Jakarta, Monday 31/7/2023).
"This signing is also one form of BPJPH's message in continuing to carry out Halal socialization and rebranding." Aqil added.
Of the 13 strategic partners, 11 of them signed a Cooperation Agreement with BPJPH. They were Syarikat Islam, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Sunan Kalijogo Yogyakarta, Industrial Training Center (BDI) Makassar, Halal Science Center (HSC) IPB, UNU NTB, Pangkajene Islands State Agricultural Polytechnic, LSP Hasalam, Quality Institute, Great Edu, and Busan Indonesia Center. Meanwhile, the two other institutions signed the Cooperation Agreement Addendum with BPJPH, namely PT Trusted Halal Personnel (IHATEC) and PT Kayama Amanah Sejati.
In front of his partners, Aqil emphasized that halal cannot be separated from government regulations and policies. Moreover, currently JPH has become part of the government's priority program and is included in the RPJMN (National Medium Term Development Plan). The development of the halal industry is one of the three scopes in increasing the halal industry carried out as part of the development of Islamic economics and finance.
President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin have also established a policy to make Indonesia the largest halal producer in the world by 2024. This policy has been projected to be one of the main drivers of economic growth to realize the vision of the "Indonesia Maju".
"The Ministry of Religious Affairs through BPJPH has an important mission to facilitate and contribute to encouraging economic recovery through the development of the halal industry and ecosystem, from food and beverage, fashion, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, tourism, media and recreation, and financial services." he said.
"We hope that the signing of this Cooperation Agreement can be followed up concretely soon. Because our time is very limited in accelerating this halal certification process and realizing Indonesia's vision of becoming a world halal producer." he concluded. []
