BANDUNG - the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jembatan Masyarakat Indonesia (JEMARI) regarding the socialization of education, and promotion of the field of halal product assurance. The signing was carried out by the Chairman of BPJPH, Ahmad Haikal Hasan and head of JEMARI, Arie Azhari in Bandung, Saturday (03/22/2025).
In his speech, Haikal revealed that the halal potential in Indonesia is extraordinary, so it has great potential to make Indonesia the center of the global halal industry. “There is nothing bigger than this business, you are in it, don't mess around, don't relax anymore, think about it, I am amazed by the spirit,” said Haikal.
Furthermore, Babe Haikal, his nickname, said that JEMARI has done the right thing by taking on the role of BPJPH partner, and is expected to continue to contribute to strengthening the halal ecosystem.
“Thank you to JEMARI, this is a trust for us. Come on, ladies and gentlemen who are in a large scope are unlimited, because in 2026 foods, drinks, medicines, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, cosmetics, and including used goods and so on must have a halal certificate. A very extraordinary potential, and we will go global,” said Babe Haikal.
Meanwhile, head of JEMARI, Arie Azhari, said that he would make this momentum a point to move further forward. “This event is a very sacred event. I hope that this second is a very historic day to help micro and small businesses in Bandung and West Java but also to improve the welfare of JEMARI members,” said Arie.
According to Arie, the collaboration between BPJPH and JEMARI can also help the public get comfort with the products they will consume and will also increase their income. “My target is that one person from 30 sub-districts in Bandung can at least assist up to 50 self-declare halal certificates, and for one sub-district must be able to at least have two thousand data on business actors processed, continue canvasing and playing on social media,” said Arie.
“Make this day as the first point with enthusiasm, after Eid, attack all-out how halal in Bandung City meets the target of Babe Haikal,” said Arie.
“For the city of Bandung, we have data on 5000 micro and small food and beverage businesses that must be certified halal, while we have branches in 13 cities / regencies throughout Jambi” said Arie.
