A Post Appears on X Accuses Halal Certification Service Admin of Being Disrespectful, BPJPH: Not of the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Admin

Jakarta (Ministry of Religious Affairs) --- A content had appeared as a posting on social media X (twitter) with a narrative that accused the halal certification Service admin of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) was disrespectful to the questioner via WhatsApp service chat. BPJPH ensures that the WA number is not the number of the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Service admin.

"We emphasize that the WA number is not the service number belongs to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It is suspected that the number belongs to a Halal Product Process Assistants (P3H) who is under one of the existing Halal Product Process Assistance Agencies (LP3H)." said the Chairman of BPJPH, Muhammad Aqil Irham, in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/6/2024).

"The correct WA of MoRA service number is 081180103146, as published on the official website kemenag.go.id or also in halal.go.id. Apart from this number, it is not the WA number of MoRA although it may profiteer the name of the Ministry of Religious Affairs or BPJPH”, further Aqil asserted.

"For this reason, we are currently assigning the Halal Product Assurance (JPH) surveillance team to comprehensively follow up on this incident comprehensively," he added.

By the time this news was published, the post was no longer visible on the timeline.

Furthermore, Aqil explained, if there were proven violations of the regulations or codes of ethics condusted, then the P3H or LP3H can be given a warning, or sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.

Aqil also regretted the incident. Because, all this time, BPJPH has been always continuing to strive improvement of Halal Product Assurance (JPH) services to the community through various breakthroughs. This includes encouraging increases in both the quantity and quality of service human resources for creating such professional Halal Product Assurance (JPH) services.

In accordance with the mandate of the law, the implementation of Halal Product Assurance services involves a lot of Service actors. There are 71 Halal Inspection Agencies (LPHs) with 1.272 halal auditors. Also, there were 253 LP3Hs with a 96,851 P3H on board. In addition, there are also 17 JPH training institutions, and 8,059 halal supervisors.

"The breadth of Halal Product Assurance coverage and the size of the JPH ecosystem are indeed a great potential for the development of our halal product ecosystem." Aqil said.

"Therefore, all related JPH service actors must ensure that all service business processes carried out well, professionally, in accordance with applicable regulatory provisions." he concluded.
