Jakarta (Kemenag) --- The Indonesian government and the Uruguayan government today signed a cooperation agreement or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Halal Product Assurance (JPH). The Indonesia-Uruguay Halal Product Assurance MoU was signed by the Head of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muhammad Aqil Irham, and the Uruguayan Ambassador to Indonesia, Cristina Gonzales.
"On behalf of BPJPH, I am grateful for the signing of the MoU on Halal Product Assurance Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Uruguay which has been signed today." said the Head of BPJPH, Muhammad Aqil Irham, after signing the MoU at the BPJPH Office in East Jakarta, Monday (12/8/2024).
The signing is a follow-up to the bilateral talks between the two countries that began in early 2024, which was continued with discussions on the finalisation of the MoU draft.
"We hope that this cooperation will be a successful and productive synergy that is very important for future developments, especially in utilizing the potential of the global halal market and facing the challenges of the global halal industry." continued Aqil.
